Mirrors are revered In some cultures and feared in others the Chinese thought that the reflections they saw in the mirror were not Reflections at all but were in fact another species entirely called fauna other cultures thought Mirror to be Windows to other worlds or a way to summon creatures that don't belong on our plane of existence in popular culture there have even been horror movies that feature mirrors and the powers that they are imagined to hold the Candyman movie film series was
recently revived after the original Three a remake was released just a few years ago this series was based on Clive Barker short story The Forbidden and while his original short story was inspired by real warrant Wars about real life tragedies that he heard from his grandmother the story took place in Liverpool England the movie would be
developed with the help of Bernard Rose and once again real events would Inspire
several changes the first film takes place in Chicago Illinois in a housing project and there the urban legend of the Candyman Reigns much like Bloody Mary when you say Candyman five times in front of a bathroom mirror he comes through the mirror and kills you enough to give anyone nightmares and sell plenty of tickets it's a terrifying
thought but there was a true and tragic True Crime Story that helped shape the
movie A seriously mysterious occurrence that many of us find even more
terrifying than a mythical monster. This story is about the murder of Ruthie Mae McCoy. Tom Herzberg an illustrator for the READER Chicago Free Weekly drew this image in 1987. Please checkout and support his other work at his website link below.
